Career History and Highlights

Independent Consultant,StetNet Technologies, 2001 to Current. Consulting company providing technical support and guidance to nonprofit organizations, small businesses, and residential locations. Services provided include: wireless networking, PC tune-ups, Microsoft Office training, home office setups, and on call technical support. Designs and creates Websites for non-profit organizations and small businesses. Provides technical training in Basic PC/Vista, MS Word, and MS Excel though adult continuing education courses in local community. Setup of integrated home office solutions for small consulting firm and home based companies. Information Technology subcontractor for a management consulting firm.

Application Project Manager (VP), Merrill Lynch, 2001 to 2008. A $65B investment services company. Recruited to oversee MIS Project Management, Global Market Programming Support, and as Technical Lead for Broadcort Clearing Services. Led a diverse array of projects, using global resources and capital. Forged strategic partnerships and worked intimately with clients to understand business unit desires and needs. Managed teams and worked closely with prime external vendors such as IBM, Salvo Server, and Smart Money.

    PTS entitlement was designed to support only COM object applications on MLX portal. Created new processes to support non-MLX applications, using web based services, converting to XML format. Eliminated need for separate requests for account and functional entitlements.
  • Reduced deployment and support costs 70% by launching a superior mainframe access tool. Organization was not satisfied with existing third-party software. Researched, evaluated, and tested emulation software. Prototyped, developed and delivered IBM HAT software solution, integrating seamlessly with existing MLX portal. Increased programmer and client satisfaction while significantly cutting costs.
  • Saved $100K yearly, streamlining statement delivery process from over 1-week to 4-days. Took over responsibility of a soft dollar application not meeting budget. Realized cost savings, improving logistics handling process with third party vendor. Initiated process changes and eliminated need to provide vendor bulk materials, reducing overhead $25K quarterly.
  • Overcame logistical bottleneck, streamlining MLX application releases process from 15 to 10 days. New portal was growing rapidly, and deployment workflow processes were inefficient. Ciber Customs Solutions Group, 2000 to 2001. Retained and served as Technical Lead on Merrill Lynch’s Broadcort web applications. Provided critical application support, releasing Merrill Lynch’s MLX portal.

  • Ensured flawless deployment of IIS Web portal across multiple IIS servers during Broadcort product launch. Company secured consulting services to provide expertise during final product development stages and launch. Prepared, developed and oversaw execution of VB Scripts ensuring identical IIS web server setting across multiple IIS servers.

Project Leader and Team Member, AT&T – Residence Billing, 1990 to 2000. An $85M global telecommunication provider. Recruited and promoted to project leadership position, developing and supporting the AT&T Long Distance Billing System. Provided on-site technical support at various data centers during the migration of customer information and data from local exchange companies to AT&T’s database. Managed three employees.

  • Provided critical leadership, reducing complex software deployment delays by 25%. Evaluated software deployment processes and determined over 35% of the deployment delays were caused by incorrect use of component management tool by developers.
